1. ఈకొనియలో జరిగినదేమనగా, వారు కూడియూదుల సమాజమందిరములో ప్రవేశించి, తేటగా బోధించినందున అనేకులు, యూదులును గ్రీసు దేశస్థులును విశ్వసించిరి.
1. And it came to pass in Iconium that together they both went into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude of both the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2. అయితే అవిధేయులైన యూదులు అన్యజనులను పురికొలిపి వారి మనస్సులలో సహోదరుల మీద పగ పుట్టించిరి.
2. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and planted evil in their minds against the brethren.
3. కాబట్టి వారు ప్రభువును ఆనుకొని ధైర్యముగా మాటలాడుచు అక్కడ బహుకాలము గడపిరి. ప్రభువు వారిచేత సూచకక్రియలను అద్భుతములను చేయించి, తన కృపావాక్యమునకు సాక్ష్యమిప్పించు చుండెను.
3. A long time therefore they tarried among them, speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of His grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4. ఆ పట్టణపు జనసమూహములో భేదములు పుట్టగా కొందరు యూదుల పక్షముగాను కొందరు అపొస్తలుల పక్షముగాను ఉండిరి.
4. But the multitude of the city was divided, and part held with the Jews and part with the apostles.
5. మరియు అన్యజనులును యూదులును తమ అధికారులతో కలిసి వారిమీద పడి వారిని అవమానపరచి రాళ్లు రువి్వ చంపవలెనని యుండిరి.
5. And when there was an assault made both by the Gentiles and also the Jews, with their rulers, to use them spitefully and to stone them,
6. వారాసంగతి తెలిసికొని లుకయొనియలోని పట్టణములగు లుస్త్రకును దెర్బేకును చుట్టుపట్లనున్న ప్రదేశమునకును పారిపోయి అక్కడ సువార్త ప్రకటించుచుండిరి.
6. they were aware of it and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about.
7. లుస్త్రలో బలహీన పాదములుగల యొకడుండెను.
7. And there they preached the Gospel.
8. అతడు పుట్టినది మొదలుకొని కుంటివాడై యెన్నడును నడువలేక కూర్చుండియుండువాడు.
8. And there sat at Lystra a certain man, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked.
9. అతడు పౌలు మాట లాడుట వినెను. పౌలు అతనివైపు తేరి చూచి, స్వస్థత పొందుటకు అతనికి విశ్వాసముండెనని గ్రహించి
9. This same one heard Paul speak who, steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10. నీ పాదములు మోపి సరిగా నిలువుమని, బిగ్గరగా చెప్పి నప్పుడు అతడు గంతులువేసి నడువ సాగెను.
10. said with a loud voice, "Stand upright on thy feet!" And he leaped and walked.
11. జనసమూహ ములు పౌలు చేసినదాని చూచి, లుకయోనియ భాషలో --దేవతలు మనుష్యరూపము తాల్చి మనయొద్దకు దిగి వచ్చి యున్నారని కేకలువేసి,
11. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the language of Lycaonia, "The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men."
12. బర్నబాకు ద్యుపతి అనియు, పౌలు ముఖ్యప్రసంగి యైనందున అతనికి హెర్మే అనియు పేరుపెట్టిరి.
12. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter, and Paul, Mercury, because he was the chief speaker.
13. పట్టణమునకు ఎదురుగా ఉన్న ద్యుపతి యొక్క పూజారి యెడ్లను పూదండలను ద్వారములయొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చి సమూహముతో కలిసి, బలి అర్పింపవలెనని యుండెను.
13. Then the priest of Jupiter, who was in front of the city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates and would have done sacrifice along with the people.
14. అపొస్తలులైన బర్నబాయు పౌలును ఈ సంగతి విని, తమ వస్త్రములు చించుకొని సమూహములోనికి చొరబడి
14. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they rent their clothes and ran in among the people, crying out and saying,
15. అయ్యలారా, మీరెందుకీలాగు చేయుచున్నారు? మేముకూడ మీ స్వభావమువంటి స్వభా వముగల నరులమే. మీరు ఈ వ్యర్థమైనవాటిని విడిచిపెట్టి, ఆకాశమును భూమిని సముద్రమును వాటిలో ఉం

15. "Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions as you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all things that are therein,
16. ఆయన గతకాలములలో సమస్త జనులను తమ తమ మార్గములయందు నడువనిచ్చెను.
16. and who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17. అయినను ఆయన ఆకాశమునుండి మీకు వర్షమును, ఫలవంతములైన రుతువులను దయచేయుచు, ఆహారము ననుగ్రహించుచు, ఉల్లాసముతో మీ హృదయ ములను నింపుచు, మేలుచే¸
కీర్తనలు 147:8, యిర్మియా 5:24
17. Nevertheless, He left not Himself without witness, in that He did good, and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
18. వారీలాగు చెప్పి తమకు బలి అర్పింపకుండ సమూహములను ఆపుట బహు ప్రయాసమాయెను.
18. But even with these sayings they scarcely restrained the people from doing sacrifice unto them.
19. అంతియొకయనుండియు ఈకొనియనుండియు యూదులు వచ్చి, జనసమూహములను తమ పక్షముగా చేసికొని, పౌలుమీద రాళ్లు రువి్వ అతడు చనిపోయెనని అనుకొని పట్టణము వెలుపలికి అతనిని ఈడ్చిరి.
19. And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium who persuaded the people; and having stoned Paul, they dragged him out of the city, supposing he was dead.
20. అయితే శిష్యులు అతనిచుట్టు నిలిచియుండగా అతడు లేచి పట్టణములో ప్రవేశించి, మరునాడు బర్నబాతోకూడ దెర్బేకు బయలుదేరి పోయెను.
20. However, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up and came into the city; and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21. వారు ఆ పట్టణములో సువార్త ప్రకటించి అనేకులను శిష్యులనుగా చేసిన తరువాత లుస్త్ర కును ఈకొనియకును అంతియొకయకును తిరిగివచ్చి
21. And when they had preached the Gospel to that city and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra and to Iconium and Antioch,
22. శిష్యుల మనస్సులను దృఢపరచివిశ్వాసమందు నిలుకడగా ఉండ వలెననియు, అనేక శ్రమలను అనుభవించి మనము దేవుని రాజ్యములో ప్రవేశింపవలెననియు వారిని హెచ్చరించిరి.
22. confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.
23. మరియు ప్రతి సంఘములో వారికి పెద్దలను ఏర్పరచి, ఉపవాసముండి, ప్రార్థనచేసి, వారు నమ్మిన ప్రభువునకు వారిని అప్పగించిరి.
23. And when they had ordained elders in every church and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they believed.
24. తరువాత పిసిదియ దేశమంతట సంచ రించి పంఫూలియకువచ్చిరి.
24. And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25. మరియు పెర్గేలో వాక్యము బోధించి, అత్తాలియకు దిగి వెళ్లిరి.
25. And when they had preached the Word in Perga, they went down into Attalia
26. అక్కడనుండి ఓడ యెక్కి, తాము నెరవేర్చిన పని నిమిత్తము దేవుని కృపకు అప్పగింపబడినవారై, మొదట బయలుదేరిన అంతియొకయకు తిరిగి వచ్చిరి.
26. and thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been commended to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
27. వారు వచ్చి, సంఘమును సమ కూర్చి, దేవుడు తమకు తోడైయుండి చేసిన కార్యము లన్నియు, అన్యజనులు విశ్వసించుటకు ఆయన ద్వారము తెరచిన సంగతియు, వివరించిరి.
27. And when they had come and had gathered the church together, they recounted all that God had done with them, and how He had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28. పిమ్మట వారు శిష్యుల యొద్ద బహుకాలము గడపిరి.
28. And there they remained a long time with the disciples.
