1. శిక్షను ప్రేమించువాడు జ్ఞానమును ప్రేమించు వాడు గద్దింపును అసహ్యించుకొనువాడు పశుప్రాయుడు
1. Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge, but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
2. సత్పురుషునికి యెహోవా కటాక్షము చూపును దురాలోచనలుగలవాడు నేరస్థుడని ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చును.
2. A good man obtaineth favor of the LORD, but a man of wicked devices will He condemn.
3. భక్తిహీనతవలన ఎవరును స్థిరపరచబడరు నీతిమంతుల వేరు కదలదు
3. A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
4. యోగ్యురాలు తన పెనిమిటికి కిరీటము సిగ్గు తెచ్చునది వాని యెముకలకు కుళ్లు.
4. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that causeth shame is rottenness in his bones.
5. నీతిమంతుల తలంపులు న్యాయయుక్తములు భక్తిహీనులు చెప్పు ఆలోచనలు మోసకరములు.
5. The thoughts of the righteous are right, but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
6. భక్తిహీనుల మాటలు నరహత్య చేయ పొంచువారి వంటివి యథార్థవంతుల నోరు వారిని విడిపించును.
6. The counsels of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood, but the mouths of the upright shall deliver them.
7. భక్తిహీనులు పాడై లేకపోవుదురు నీతిమంతుల యిల్లు నిలుచును.
7. The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous shall stand.
8. ఒక్కొక్క మనుష్యుడు తన వివేకముకొలది పొగడ బడును కుటిలచిత్తుడు తృణీకరింపబడును.
8. A man shall be commended according to his wisdom, but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
9. ఆహారము లేకయున్నను తనను తాను పొగడుకొను వానికంటె దాసుడుగల అల్పుడు గొప్పవాడు.
9. He that is lowly and hath a servant is better off than he that honoreth himself and lacketh bread.
10. నీతిమంతుడు తన పశువుల ప్రాణమును దయతో చూచును భక్తిహీనుల వాత్సల్యము క్రూరత్వమే.
10. A righteous man hath regard for the life of his beast, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11. తన భూమిని సేద్యపరచుకొనువానికి ఆహారము సమృ ద్ధిగా కలుగును వ్యర్థమైనవాటిని అనుసరించువాడు బుద్ధిలేనివాడు.
11. He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread, but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
12. భక్తిహీనులు చెడ్డవారికి దొరుకు దోపుడుసొమ్మును అపే క్షించుదురు నీతిమంతుల వేరు చిగుర్చును.
12. The wicked desireth the net of evil men, but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
13. పెదవులవలని దోషము అపాయకరమైన ఉరి నీతిమంతుడు ఆపదను తప్పించుకొనును.
13. The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips, but the just shall come out of trouble.
14. ఒకడు తన నోటి ఫలము చేత తృప్తిగా మేలుపొందును ఎవని క్రియల ఫలము వానికి వచ్చును.
14. A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
15. మూఢుని మార్గము వాని దృష్టికి సరియైనది జ్ఞానముగలవాడు ఆలోచన నంగీకరించును.
15. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
16. మూఢుడు కోపపడునది నిమిషములోనే బయలుపడును వివేకి నిందను వెల్లడిపరచక యూరకుండును.
16. A fool's wrath is known at once, but a prudent man covereth shame.
17. సత్యవాద ప్రియుడు నీతిగల మాటలు పలుకును కూటసాక్షి మోసపు మాటలు చెప్పును.
17. He that speaketh truth showeth forth righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.
18. కత్తిపోటువంటి మాటలు పలుకువారు కలరు జ్ఞానుల నాలుక ఆరోగ్యదాయకము.
18. There is he that speaketh like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise is healing.
19. నిజమాడు పెదవులు నిత్యము స్థిరమై యుండును అబద్ధమాడు నాలుక క్షణమాత్రమే యుండును.
19. The lips of truth shall be established for ever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20. కీడు కల్పించువారి హృదయములో మోసముకలదు సమాధానపరచుటకై ఆలోచన చెప్పువారు సంతోష భరితులగుదురు.
20. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil, but to the counselors of peace there is joy.
21. నీతిమంతునికి ఏ ఆపదయు సంభవింపదు. భక్తిహీనులు కీడుతో నిండియుందురు.
21. There shall no evil happen to the just, but the wicked shall be filled with troubles.
22. అబద్దమాడు పెదవులు యెహోవాకు హేయములు సత్యవర్తనులు ఆయనకిష్టులు.
22. Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but they that deal truly are His delight.
23. వివేకియైనవాడు తన విద్యను దాచి పెట్టును అవివేక హృదయులు తమ మూఢత్వము వెల్లడి చేయుదురు.
23. A prudent man concealeth knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
24. శ్రద్ధగా పని చేయువారు ఏలుబడి చేయుదురు సోమరులు వెట్టి పనులు చేయవలసి వచ్చును.
24. The hand of the diligent shall exercise rule, but the slothful shall be under tribute.
25. ఒకని హృదయములోని విచారము దాని క్రుంగ జేయును దయగల మాట దాని సంతోషపెట్టును.
25. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop, but a good word maketh it glad.
26. నీతిమంతుడు తన పొరుగువానికి దారి చూపును భక్తిహీనుల ప్రవర్తన వారిని దారి తప్పించును.
26. The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor, but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
27. సోమరి వేటాడినను పట్టుకొనడు చురుకుగా నుండుట గొప్ప భాగ్యము.
27. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting, but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28. నీతిమార్గమునందు జీవము కలదు దాని త్రోవలో మరణమే లేదు.
28. In the way of righteousness is life, and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
