Nehemiah - నెహెమ్యా 5
1. తమ సహోదరులైన యూదుల మీద జనులును వారి భార్యలును కఠినమైన ఫిర్యాదుచేసిరి.
1. And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.
2. ఏదనగా కొందరు మేమును మా కుమారులును మా కుమార్తెలును అనేకు లము. అందుచేత మేము తిని బ్రదుకుటకు ధాన్యము మీయొద్ద తీసి కొందుమనిరి.
2. For there were those who said, "We, our sons and our daughters are many; therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat and live."
3. మరికొందరుక్షామ మున్నందున మా భూములను ద్రాక్షతోటలను మాయిండ్లను కుదువ పెట్టితివిు గనుక మీయొద్ద ధాన్యము తీసికొందు మనిరి.
3. There were some also who said, "We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn because of the dearth."
4. మరికొందరురాజుగారికి పన్ను చెల్లించుటకై మా భూములమీదను మా ద్రాక్షతోటలమీదను మేము అప్పు చేసితివిు.
4. There were also those who said, "We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our
lands and vineyards.
5. మా ప్రాణము మా సహోదరుల ప్రాణమువంటిది కాదా? మా పిల్లలు వారి పిల్లలను పోలిన వారు కారా? మా కుమారులను మా కుమార్తెలను దాసు లగుటకై అప్పగింపవలసి వచ్చెను; ఇప్పటికిని మా కుమార్తె లలో కొందరు దాసత్వములో నున్నారు, మా భూములును మా ద్రాక్షతోటలును అన్యులవశమున నుండగా వారిని విడిపించుటకు మాకు శక్తి చాలకున్నదని చెప్పగా
5. Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already; neither is it in our power to redeem them, for other men have our lands and vineyards."
6. వారి ఫిర్యాదును ఈ మాటలను నేను వినినప్పుడు మిగుల కోపపడితిని.
6. And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.
7. అంతట నాలో నేనే యోచనచేసి ప్రధానులను అధికారులను గద్దించిమీరు మీ సహోదరులయొద్ద వడ్డి పుచ్చుకొనుచున్నారని చెప్పి వారిని ఆటంకపరచుటకై మహా సమాజమును సమకూర్చి
7. Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles and the rulers and said unto them, "Ye exact usury, every one from his brother." And I set a great assembly against them.
8. అన్యులకు అమ్మబడిన మా సహోదరులైన యూదులను మా శక్తికొలది మేము విడిపించితివిు, మీరు మీ సహోదరులను అమ్ముదురా? వారు మనకు అమ్మబడవచ్చునా? అని వారితో చెప్పగా, వారు ఏమియు చెప్పలేక ఊరకుండిరి.
8. And I said unto them, "We, according to our ability, have redeemed our brethren the Jews who were sold unto the heathen. And will ye even sell your brethren? Or shall they be sold unto us?" Then they held their peace, and found nothing to answer.
9. మరియు నేనుమీరు చేయునది మంచిది కాదు, మన శత్రువులైన అన్యుల నిందనుబట్టి మన దేవునికి భయపడి మీరు ప్రవర్తింప కూడదా?
9. Also I said, "It is not good what ye do. Ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen, our enemies?
10. నేనును నా బంధువులును నా దాసులునుకూడ ఆలాగుననే వారికి సొమ్మును ధాన్యమును అప్పుగా ఇచ్చితివిు; ఆ అప్పు పుచ్చుకొనకుందము.
10. I likewise, and my brethren and my servants, might exact from them money and corn; I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
11. ఈ దినములోనే వారియొద్ద మీరు అపహరించిన భూములను ద్రాక్షతోటలను ఒలీవతోటలను వారి యిండ్లను వారికి అప్పుగా ఇచ్చిన సొమ్ములోను ధాన్యములోను ద్రాక్షారసములోను నూనెలోను నూరవభాగమును వారికి మరల అప్పగించుడని నేను మిమ్మును బతిమాలుచున్నాను అంటిని.
11. Restore, I pray you, to them even this day their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money and of the corn, the wine, and the oil that ye exact from them."
12. అందుకు వారునీవు చెప్పినప్రకారమే యివన్నియు ఇచ్చివేసి వారియొద్ద ఏమియు కోరమనిరి. అంతట నేను యాజకులను పిలిచి ఈ వాగ్దాన ప్రకారము జరిగించుటకు వారిచేత ప్రమాణము చేయించితిని.
12. Then said they, "We will restore them, and will require nothing of them. So will we do as thou sayest." Then I called the priests and took an oath from them, that they should do according to this promise.
13. మరియు నేను నా ఒడిని దులిపిఈ ప్రకారమే దేవుడు ఈ వాగ్దానము నెరవేర్చని ప్రతివానిని తన యింటిలో ఉండకయు తన పని ముగింప కయు నుండునట్లు దులిపివేయును; ఇటువలె వాడు దులిపి వేయబడి యేమియు లేనివాడుగా చేయబడునుగాకని చెప్పగా, సమాజకులందరు ఆలాగు కలుగునుగాక అని చెప్పి యెహోవాను స్తుతించిరి. జనులందరును ఈ మాట చొప్పుననే జరిగించిరి.
13. Also I shook my lap, and said, "So God shake out every man from his house and from his labor who performeth not this promise; eventhus be he shaken out and emptied." And all the congregation said, "Amen," and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
14. మరియు నేను యూదాదేశములో వారికి అధికారిగా నిర్ణయింపబడినకాలము మొదలుకొని, అనగా అర్తహషస్త రాజు ఏలుబడియందు ఇరువదియవ సంవత్సరము మొదలుకొని ముప్పదిరెండవ సంవత్సరము వరకు పండ్రెండు సంవత్సరములు అధికారికి రావలసిన సొమ్మును నేనుగాని నా బంధువులుగాని తీసికొనలేదు.
14. Moreover, from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king (that is, twelve years), I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.
15. అయితే నాకు ముందుగానుండిన అధికారులు జనులయొద్ద నుండి ఆహారమును ద్రాక్షారసమును నలువది తులముల వెండిని తీసికొనుచు వచ్చిరి; వారి పనివారు సహా జనుల మీద భారము మోపుచు వచ్చిరి, అయితే దేవుని భయము చేత నేనాలాగున చేయలేదు.
15. But the former governors who had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yea, even their servants ruled over the people, but so did I not, because of the fear of God.
16. ఇదియుగాక నేను ఈ గోడపని చేయగా నా పనివారును ఆ పనిచేయుచు వచ్చిరి.
16. Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land; and all my servants were gathered thither for the work.
17. భూమి సంపాదించుకొనినవారము కాము; నా భోజనపు బల్లయొద్ద మా చుట్టునున్న అన్యజనులలోనుండి వచ్చిన వారు గాక యూదులును అధికారులును నూట ఏబదిమంది కూర్చునియుండిరి.
17. Moreover there were at my table a hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, besides those who came unto us from among the heathen who are about us.
18. నా నిమిత్తము ప్రతి దినము ఒక యెద్దును శ్రేష్ఠమైన ఆరు గొఱ్ఱెలును సిద్ధము చేయబడెను. ఇవియుగాక కోళ్లను, పదిరోజులకు ఒకమారు నానావిధమైన ద్రాక్షారసములను సిద్ధము చేసితిని. ఈ ప్రకారముగా చేసినను ఈ జనుల దాసత్వము బహు కఠినముగా ఉండినందున అధికారికి రావలసిన సొమ్మును నేను అపేక్షింపలేదు.
18. Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days, a store of all sorts of wine; yet for all this I required not the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.
19. నా దేవా, ఈ జనులకు నేను చేసిన సకలమైన ఉపకారములనుబట్టి నాకు మేలు కలుగు నట్లుగా నన్ను దృష్టించుము.
19. Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.
1. తమ సహోదరులైన యూదుల మీద జనులును వారి భార్యలును కఠినమైన ఫిర్యాదుచేసిరి.

5.
